I bought a new BF3 premium copy for $35 a few weeks ago. So, I will be able to join any server from now on. I will have a new account although. The bad news is.... I don't have spare time to play with you all.

But....
Can we idle on a server? If yes, for how many minutes, hours, days??? I don't mind idling on our server. And like I told Asra, my bro is now set with a i7 3770 and a GTX680. He also has the premium edition. But I don't know his schedule. Oh yeah, he's waiting on me to pass Ethernet cable across his apartment, cause he's playing on wifi and hates it. He'll have to wait, cause I'm bringing the kids to the auto show tomorrow (today for euro guys).

As far as I know you can idle as long as you want, if the server has no idle kicker...

I'll let you set the no kicker, and I'll debug my bf3 on the PC sometime this week, and see if I can idle for a few days.

I checked it, and it is set to not kick. If you experience problems, just enter this in the console in procon:

vars.idleTimeout 0

I tested idleing today, its now 5hrs, I am not kicked.

We were able to get the server full for an hour of two. Like asra said the TDMCQ got the server full, people only left when it was conquest bazaar. So maybe we could change those regular CQ maps to close quarters maps? or aftermath?

Also, its nice to have 2 guys idling but on a 16 slot server its a little bit a waste of slots. Has it always been a 16 player server or is it just set up wrong?

Server is set to TDMCQ only, vanilla and B2K maps, 2 rounds per map. If any maps arent wanted, we will drop them.

The CQ maps were kind of a test, I wanted to know if I am right, that most "random" players want to "stick with the gamemode" they searched for. So despite the Cq maps I choose were the most played Cq maps, the TDMCQ players still left, and these Cq maps didnt attract enough other players to keep the game running. At least that is what I figured from the chatlog and from Ikke's feedback.

I will extend the maplist to CQ and AM, when I see enough guys have premium, or, when I see that the players that regularly use the server have premium. Also I think about having a "tank destroyer" - day and so on...

Well, at this time, I guess it is better having 2 guys idleing, and a game going on, than having no game... And the server is a 16 slots server. When I filled up the reserved slots list with 16 guys that are frequently playing, we can talk about a greater server.

Also I should mention the following: I decided to give members limited ingame admin permissions temporary, so everyone on the server can help.
I am not giving this to anyone innately, I have to see him/her on the server, and then I am deciding individually.
If there are any admins feeling uncomfortable with this, please start a topic in the admin section, we will talk about it.

Hey Lads.
Hardly play bf3 at the moment but I still check in on site from time to time, althoug since the split-ish, it's been less and less.
I only have 2 affiliations in fbf3 and one of them is pwte. So although there's not much bf3 gaming in me these days, pwte is still in my thoughts.
If a clan want to stay alive and have full servers it has to deliver what the crowd and the members wan't, and if paddling is the discipline, well, it's hard to do.
The idea of doc was not bad, but it must have been predictable that it would lead to some sort of stretching/splitting in the member ranks.
I've never been there, as I'm paddler heart and soul. And paddling or boosting as it's called these days, is being treated more like cheating on the same level as hacking/botting.
Thus paddling isn't the same in bf3 and that is part of the problem I guess.

But I would have voted PWTE only, and just wanna end this by saying hi and hope to catch y'all arround.
I still have my X-fire open all the time when at the pc.
